POWDER COATING
For many years powder coating has been one of DYNAXO’s main areas of expertise. An advanced, fully automatized powder coating workshop allows us to apply paint on elements of up to 50 kilograms and size of up to 500x1000x2000 mm. In our production hall we also use a modern booth for powder coating of larger items (size up to 1000x2000x4000 mm).
Before we begin applying paint, it is necessary to precisely prepare the surface in order to achieve a high degree of corrosion resistance. In our everyday work we use top-class paints:
- polyester paints,
- epoxy paints,
- polyester-epoxy mixtures, combining properties of both substances.
THE PROCESS OF POWDER COATING
The paint in form of powder is applied on the surface by means of electrostatic or electrokinetic spraying. The particles of paint are electrically charged and therefore stick to the coated surface. Items so prepared are put inside an oven pre-heated to ca. 200°C. After around 20 minutes the cover melts and hardens, gaining excellent application properties.
CHOICE OF PAINT
It is important to know how vital the choice of the right sort of paint is. Depending on paint, powder coating can create delicate, smooth surfaces, as well as uneven, coarse structures. It is possible to choose between opaque, semi-opaque, gleaming, satin and other paints. Powder coating is also a possibility to achieve stunning decorative effects. We have in our offer metallic paints, antique-style paints, as well as so-called “chameleon” paints, which change their colour according to the angle of falling sunrays.
It is also possible to choose special paints, resistant to aggressive cleaning substances, which are most often used in locations where non-aesthetic graffiti is likely to appear.
